The Black Stacked Ostrich exemplifies my signature millinery preferences.  If I had my druthers, I’d make every piece in black.  I also have a penchant for moveable elements that provide motion even when she who rocks the lid is in her stride.

The Black Stacked Ostrich is a five-inch abbreviated stovepipe crown wrapped in winding soft black folded horsehair from top to bottom.  The black ostrich boa is wound lightly around the monumental piece. 

The folded black horsehair around the brim permits a ledge to keep the feathers from falling into your eyes, glasses, or lashes.
